After your toner dries you will put on a face serum. Serums are lighter and more liquid based than moisturizers and that is why you should apply it before a moisturizer. If you were to put on the moisturizer before a serum, the serum would not be able to penetrate through the layer of moisturizer and would essentially be a waste of product. Anyway, I've tried a few different store bought serums before deciding to make my own. I decided to make a rosehip oil based serum because of the oil's benefits, which include:
- hydrates dry skin
- evens skin tone (great for freckles and age spots)
- reduces stretch marks, scars, and burns
- treats wrinkles and fine lines
- it's non greasy!
Ingredients:
- 1 TBSP Rosehip Seed Oil
- 1/2 TBSP Vegetable Glycerine
- 1/2 TBSP Aloe Vera Gel
- 1 tsp Vitamin E Oil
- 10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 10 drops Tea Tree Oil
- Dark bottle for storage (or keep your serum in a dark place, like a medicine cabinet)
