Fondant is a colorful way to dress up your baked goods. But sometimes I find that store bought baked goods have TOO MUCH fondant on them. Also, store bought fondant tastes like cardboard that's just colored. So I decided to make my own fondant for some baked treats I'm making for Valentine's Day.
Look at how pretty the colors for my fondant turned out! Making your own fondant also means you can make WHATEVER COLORS AND FLAVORS you want. You can mix different colors + flavors together too.
Ingredients:
- 1 package of mini marshmallows
- 2 lb bag of powdered sugar
- food coloring (optional)
- flavored extract, such as vanilla, almond, raspberry, coffee etc (optional)
