Your eyebrows frame your face and so it's important to have well groomed and defined eyebrows. I can't consider my makeup done without having my eyebrows done. It used to take me about 10 minutes or so to perfect my brows. But now with this new stencil I purchased it only takes about 5 minutes.

I absolutely LOVE the Etude House Mini Brow Class 3rd Class Drawing Guide! It's easy to use, easy to clean, and very durable! I had the e.l.f. eyebrow stencils but found the actual stencils to be too long for my face shape and also they were made of flimsy plastic. Valentine's Day Makeup Tutorial

Valentine's Day is coming up! Whether you're single and going out with friends OR taken and going on a date you'll want to dress up. You'll probably want to do your makeup and hair to be appropriate for whatever activity you'll be doing.

I know this Valentine's Day I am going to want to do my hair and makeup to be appropriate for whale watching (WHAT?) and a nice dinner (yum...). For a step by step tutorial watch the video at the bottom of this post :)

For my eyeshadow I've decided to do a chocolate and strawberries inspired look. I chose a few colors and I used e.l.f.'s ultimate eyeshadow palette.

I chose a lip color that goes with the pink of my eyeshadow. I outlined my lips with e.l.f.'s lip lock pencil so my lipstick doesn't bleed. Also, I outlined and filled in my lips with e.l.f.s Peachy mineral lip liner.Then, I applied e.l.f.'s Runway Pink mineral lipstick with a lip brush. Finally, I set my lipstick with 1 ply of Kleenex and some translucent powder.

e.l.f. Matte Lip Color Swatches & Review

During cyber Monday I ordered one of each of the ELF matte lip colors. I love trying different lip colors and matte colors are great to pair with a dramatic eye look or if you want a more soft or subtle look. Plus their matte colors are moisturizing and contain Vitamin A, C, and E! These matte lip colors go on smoothly, last long, and there's a lot of it in the tube. Read on for more!

Added bonus: there's a sharpener hidden in the colored tip of the pen! 

After unpacking each matte lip color I color swatched them to see how pigmented they each were. The colors include:

I can't rave enough about ELF makeup products. They have high quality makeup for great prices. I'm sure there are a few products that aren't amazing but I've yet to come across one.

Elf Eyebrow Kit Review & How I Fill In My Eyebrows Tutorial

One of the most defining features of your face is your eyebrows. Some people are blessed with naturally thick eyebrows that are beautifully shaped but I'm not of those lucky people. I usually have to fill in my eyebrows and have used a range of powders and pencils. One of my favorite eyebrow kits is from E.L.F. I buy the the ELF eyebrow studio kit in dark and it's only $3! My eyebrow makeup routine also includes the ELF studio eyebrow filler and lifter (in dark) and the ELF eyebrow gel.

I absolutely LOVE all of these products. They're inexpensive, long lasting, and and easy to use. My eyebrow makeup routine basically goes:

Step 1: Brush eyebrows with a clean mascara wand (Sephora has ones you can just take whenever you visit)

Step 2: Using the dark eyebrow cream from ELF eyebrow studio kit, outline the shape of your eyebrows using the angled end of the brush that comes with the kit.

Step 3: Use your clean mascara wand to blend the the dark cream into your eyebrows. 

Step 4: Using the soft end of the brush, fill in your eyebrows with the eyebrow powder from the ELF eyebrow studio kit.

Step 5: Set, shape, and separate your eyebrows using the ELF eyebrow gel.

Step 6: Use the lifter end of the ELF studio eyebrow filler and outline your eyebrows.

Step 7: Blend the lifter pencil into your skin to give your eyebrows a polished look. This is one of the most important steps to really make your eyebrows look defined, so don't skip this!

Healthy Hair Care Tips for Long Hair

Health hair care habits are essential, especially for long or colored hair. Here is a list of hair care tips for healthy hair!

1. Sleep with your hair in pigtails, a bun, or braid. This prevents tangles and hair breakage.

2. Limit your use of heat tools, close-range heat can dry or damage your hair. Let your hair air dry and try no heat hairstyles!

3. Lifting your hair from a dark to a light colors requires bleaching. The harsh chemical will damage your hair and leave it extremely dry if you leave it in to process for long periods of time. Give your hair a break and talk to your colorist about doing it over several sessions.

4. In between sessions do oil or mask treatments to moisturize your hair. Consider doing a hair mask once a week or at least twice a month. You usually leave a hair mask on for 20 minutes before rinsing it out, which is the perfect amount of time to soak in a nice warm bath! 5. Wash your hair every other day. Everyday washing causes frizziness, dry scalp, and dries your hair out by stripping your hair of its natural oils. It’s not really necessary unless you do physical activity everyday. Use a dry shampoo spray in between washes to get rid of that greasy hair look. 6. Get a trim every 6-8 weeks to avoid split ends. The ends of your hair are older, thinner, and more fragile than the roots of your hair. They're more prone to split ends and damage so you'll want to get trims to prevent your ends from splitting.

Easy Fishtail Braid Tutorial

 

Fishtail braids are a great alternative to a normal braid. When fishtail braids first became popular I was a bit intimidated to try it! The braid looks complicated and impressive but it really isn't that hard. Once you have the basic 2 steps down you'll be a pro in no time!

Easy & Natural DIY Makeup Setting Moisturizer

Once you've done your makeup you want to set it. Setting your makeup with a makeup setting spray will allow for it to last longer so all the hard work you put in to putting on your makeup does not go to waste! You can make a chemical free makeup setting spray at home that not only helps you set your makeup but also moisturizes your face. You will need 3 simple ingredients.

Ingredients:

• 3 TBSP Water
• 1 TBSP Vegetable Glycerin
• 3-5 Drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil
•  Travel Size Spray Bottle

Steps:

1. Combine all the ingredients into the travel size spray bottle,
2. Gentle shake the ingredients to mix it up evenly.
3. Done!

2 Quick & Easy Bobby Pin Hairstyles

 

Sometimes we like to hit that snooze button in the morning. If you're like me, you hit that snooze button ALL OF THE TIME. After hitting snooze about 5 times I have about literally 10 minutes to get ready. Luckily, I have 2 go to hair styles that take less than 2 minutes to do and help me look polished and put together.

Nail Hack: Dotting Tool

No dotting tool? No problem.

Many people want to explore fun and fancy nail designs without the hassle or cost of buying extra supplies. There is no substitute for polish itself (acrylic paints, but that is a post for another day), however a few of the infamous nail art tools can be duplicated just by what you may have lying around the house. This post is to show you that you don't always have to have the "right" tool to get the job done.

I've decided to compare a dotter tool and a pencil.
I chose a pencil since they are pretty similar in shape and size.
The pencil is sharpened to a dull point.

the challenger today is red nail polish, lets begin...

i dipped the dotter tool straight down into the polish
and made a row of 4 dots. 

i did the same 4 dots on the other side with the pencil.

all done. see, they look pretty much the same. its a tie for me!

Don't fret if you see fun designs being done, but you dont have the tools. Look around at what you have, alter something, or make your own. Theres a way around most things. I Hope I've inspired you to go paint your nails or try to make/find some new tools. Let me know if you find anything interesting.

Nail Look: Matte Bad Gal

5 SIMPLE STEPS

• This manicure started with a Seche Vite - Crystal Clear Base Coat
• The next step was to apply a pretty pink color! We used Sinful Colors Pink Forever
• Designs were added with a two-way nail brush in black. Black nail drips, skull and gun accents look great with the matte pink.
• NYX glitter nail polish was added to the thumbs!
• To finish it off a matte top coat was applied to the entire look. Essie - Matte About You.

We did a nail look inspired by the packaging for this collection. It uses all the polishes in the Minnie Mouse Minis pack as well as: black white and yellow polish, two dotting tools and a few nail art brushes.

5 Step Nails: Minnie Mouse

A cute and easy Minnie Mouse inspired look!

 Difficulty: ★ ☆ ☆☆☆

MATERIALS:

♥red polish ♥glitter polish ♥white nail polish

♥a dotter tool (a dull pencil will also work)

♥top coat ♥base coat

BASE

Apply a base coat to clean dry hands.

RED

Using your favorite red polish apply 1 to 2 coats evenly to all nails. Let the polish dry before moving on to the next step.

GLITTER

Next use your sparkling glitter polish to accent your pinky finger nail as well as your thumb. Its quite easy and will give your finished design more interest and sparkle.

POLKA DOTS

Use your dotter and white polish to make cute polka dots all over your index finger. 

Repeat this on your ring finger. Add as little or many as you'd like.

BOW

The last step is to glue your big bow charm onto the middle finger. Use a spot of glue to adhere the bow to your nail. Press firmly until set. (Watch video for easy alternative with black nail polish!!)

Thats it!

Now you can flaunt your Minnie Mouse inspired nails wherever you go!

Organic Banana Facial Mask

Organic Banana Facial Mask:

                                                                             Hello Beautiful People! 

During the Winter, your skin becomes extremely sensitive to the cold.Your skin may feel dry, tight, and may appear unflattering. In this tutorial I showed you how to make an Organic Banana Facial mask, just by mixing things that you already have in your kitchen. Check out the video <<<

Ingredients (use Organic products for better results)
1/2 Banana (bananas going brown adds more moisture)
1 Tsp Honey 
1 Tbsp Plain Yogurt 
You will also need a mixing bowl and a mixing spoon.

Facts:

Bananas: contain acids that remove dead skin cells.

Honey: Holds moisture in your skin

Yogurt: Acts as a natural moisturizer

Steps:
Throw all of your ingredients into a mixing bowl. 
Begin to mash your ingredients together until the consistency feels like lotion.
Wash your face.
Smooth the mask all of your face, avoiding your eyes.
Leave on for 20 minutes.
Rinse your face in lukewarm water.




Your skin should feel and look smooth. By making this Organic mask, you are saving not only money, but your skin from harsh ingredients and toxins found in major products.
